Parents are demanding answers after a Texas teacher reportedly invited female students to dress up in Islamic garb and told the class to refer to Muslim terrorists as freedom fighters.

Texas state Sen. Dan Patrick, chairman of the Senate Education Committee, has launched an investigation into the incident. He told Fox News he was disturbed after seeing a photograph of female students wearing burqas and learning that students were reportedly taught that the cause for Egypt’s turmoil is democracy, not the Muslim Brotherhood, based on an article by the Washington Post.

The lesson on Islam was apparently taught in a world geography class at Lumberton High School in Lumberton, Texas, Fox News Radio’s Todd Starnes reports.

One parent told Fox News she was “outraged” after she discovered a photograph of her 14-year-old daughter wearing a burqa on Facebook. “I felt my blood press go through my head,” she added.

Being one of our most conservative states it sure is odd that so much of this shit happens in Texas schools.

You'll notice most of it is in and around Dallas with a little bleed over in Houston.
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

Cities turn into cesspools in every state, OKC and Tulsa are not much better. I have heard that FT Worth is one of the worst in Texas and there was one other I can't remember the name of.

I'll take Ft Worth over Dallas any day. Dallas builds its highways in a way to prevent exiting the city.

This could have been a great opportunity to teach these girls about Islam, if they'd been forced to keep the burqas on all day, including lunchtime and outdoors in the heat, and threatened and harassed by the boys in their class if they tried to remove them. Or, the teacher could have just sent them home, because educating women is an affront to Islam. Some of the boys could have pepper-sprayed them (instead of throwing acid in their faces, as Islamists often do to girls who seek to attend school). Oh, and one or two of them could have been accused of fornicating, taken out to the schoolyard and pelted with nerf balls to simulate a stoning.

One question that needs to be asked ...

Where did the girl on the left in the blue burqa, get the outfit? It looks authentic to me.

If, (as I do believe is true) the parents were not aware of what was going on in the class, and therefore were unable to help in any way with the costuming, how did this particular one come about?

Boy did I ever blow this one. Lumberton is almost Cajun country over near Beaumont. I wouldn't be surprised if some school personnel did not end up riding out of town on a very skinny rail.

    More lessons from CSCOPE:

The Boston Tea Party was an act of terrorism.
Students told to design a flag for a new socialist nation.

So this school thinks Muslims (actual terrorists) should not be called terrorists and the folks from the Boston Tea Party should.

Outstanding work Libpukes. Your work is almost done.

That is disgusting. I would be fuming if they did that with my kid. That would never fly around here. That teacher would be rode out of town on a rail for sure...

Am I the only one seeing the irony of calling people who are using terrorism to instill onto the world the most oppressive ideology in history 'freedom' fighters?
