Seriously. The only thing that needed to be fixed was segregation in the South and the movement to purge the country of socialists or what the left likes to term as McCarthyism. We all should be treated as equals and the other violates the 1st amendment. It's OK to have a contrary thought process but the way to defeat your enemy is to beat them with facts. The byproduct of that era is what we are living with today. That said, this country was operating in the black before the Great Society experiment and that was with a war going on(Korea). Entitlement spending and not military spending is what has us in this rat hole. Anyone with 2 brain cells could see that.

Can someone point out where I've said Conservatism was perfect and flawless?

When the decadent 20's, the socialist 30's, war torn 40's, the big government high tax 50's, the hippie fest 60's, the women's lib 70's, the big spending 80's, the I never had sex 90's, or perhaps you mean the big spending Bush Jr. era. From the day this country was founded it has been pushed forward by liberalism and the reason for the push was to shed ourselves of our conservative shackles. As for spending the YOY spending under Reagan averaged 6.8%, Bush the Greater 5.4%, Clinton 3.6%, Bush the Lessor 7.7%, and Obama 1.4%. Pretending that things were better doesn't make them better....

Do you know the weaknesses of your own ideology? Do you know all the lies that come out? Do you know the history of the Democratic Party? Do you know the history of the Republican party? Or do you just watch MSNBC 24/7 and take what they say as gospel?
Let me give you a hint: If anyone had a real history class instead of some watered down agenda shoving full of lies history class, you wouldn't see one black person as a Democrat. To make the point, Martin Luther King, the God of all black folk, WAS A REPUBLICAN!
The democrats party was built on racism, it continues to live through racism. Look it up, learn, and stop listening to some liberal professor who only teaches what his agenda is ...
I love my God, my country, my flag, and my troops ....

The flaws in it come at the very fringe. The Ron Paul types who think the Voting Rights Act of 1964 is unconstitutional...or that whine about the 16th Amendment....the people that want us to go back to a Gold Standard and think that the politicians are illegally funding the military because the standing Army was only supposed to be stood up for two years at a time.
But that's about it. Conservatism...what in the time of the Founding Fathers was called Liberalism...is what made this country what it is and has allowed it to endure...despite the modern day Socialist Liberals of the Democrat Party are trying to tear down.
It's why we have been the engine of the world and the place where people come when they want to be free.
The conservative philosophy and the documents written encasing it in our DNA is not perfect...but it's the best thing going today.
All you have told me is that what is taught in "liberal" universities is a lie. That doesn't tell me what the flaws are.
