We are loyal to our nation, it's history, it's Constitution and pretty much everything except its government, which we see as a necessary evil, to be governed by, but not ruled by. Loyalty is a two way street. When our government decides that it doesn't need or want our input before making decisions for us, it severs the ties of loyalty that bind us to it, and sets itself up as a usurper of our rights. When a faithful pet gets rabies, you don't let your loyalty for what it was keep you from protecting yourself from the danger that it has become.

I really don't care about Manning but since his actions were against our government I would assume you would support him. I take it you don't...

His actions compromised and endangered troops in the field. As I am an army officer, I consider his actions despicable and treasonous. That you don't care about him doesn't surprise me, since your purpose in this thread isn't to discuss him but to simply fling crap. Thanks for playing to type.

He's just repeating Stalin's propaganda. After the invasion of the Soviet Union, the Comintern was under strict orders to portray the fascists as a rightist movement, despite Mussolini's Socialist Party origins and the Nazi Party's socialist ideology and identity. It made the Eastern front look like a conflict between left and right, rather than the intramural leftist pissing contest that it actually was.
