I came across an article in The Weekly Standard a few days ago that had some historical information about Vietnam and our involvement that I thought I'd share. Unfortunately most Americans only know about it from movies.

I think that veterans, especially those who served there, could appreciate some historical perspective.

It's not linked from my home page, so you have to follow the link above. Nor does it contain some additional information such as the first American casualties in Vietnam and Laos prior to LBJ's declaration in 1964. Their names are on the Vietnam Wall at the vertex. Omitted have been the two pilots who were shot down in 1954.
