Thread: Hi everyone
#1 Hi everyone03-24-2013, 03:18 PM
Looking forward to meeting you all!
I'd describe myself as a left-leaning independent, so I probably won't have the most popular viewpoints here. But I think it's definitely a better use of my time to learn more about the perspectives of everyone here than continue to be surrounded by just liberal viewpoints.
P.S. Hope everyone's brackets are doing well :)

Welcome chewy one!The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

I actually hadn't heard of it until I came across this board. It's pretty bad...
Granted, I have equal dislike of sites like MrConservative.com - when people surrounded by only those with similar views on divisive topics, both groups seem to too easily classify all members of the other as evil or stupid (or both). I'll admit to having fallen into that trap during my college days. This is why it will be good for me to meet more rational and good-hearted conservatives, and if I can manage to serve as a counterexample to some stereotypes about non-conservatives, then I'd be pretty satisfied.
Edit: Oops ninja'd. perhaps I should start using the quote function
