Yeah? Well if he starts bitching about how much money he has, I sure as hell am. I won't bat an eyelash at telling someone who is living on my nickel and complaining about it to go and pound sand where the sun don't shine if they have any luxuries whatsoever. You're old? Well, you had plenty of time to plan for it. You're in a scooter? You almost certainly went through one of the scam companies to get it and I paid for that anyway. You got a dog? Great. Figure out how to feed it your own fucking self; I ain't giving you any more money while you are maintaining a fucking pet. Grow the fuck up and get the fuck over it. There are scads of rescue organizations out there who will make sure that Fido gets a good home, but if you can't feed yourself, then you don't need to be spending my money to feed Fido.

It's their money. They can burn it or bury it in a landfill if they want to.
The hypocrisy is a young, healthy male who is able to go out and protest and have "meetups" with other "Kossacks" who can't be bothered to go out and get a fucking job.
The guy is a professional whiner. Nothing more, nothing less. Fuck him. You work too hard to bother paying for this asshole's lifestyle of futzing around on the internet all day.Olde-style, states' rights conservative. Ask if this concept confuses you.

It isn't their money if said company is getting tax subsidies. Isn't SS our money as well? IMHO SS isn't a welfare handout, I paid into it all my life I expect to get it back towards the end. I am by no means a fan of some welfare bum but I will not stick up for a company that gets handouts from the govt, when they do away with them then they can do whatever they want with their moneyWe're from Philadelphia, We Fight- Chip Kelly

You're injecting something that isn't at issue here. Sure, if some company is getting actual subsidies (meaning not oil companies getting a tax "rebate" on a special tax levied just against them, which is what the Left likes to call "subsidies"), then yeah, they should have a wall between that money and what they have earned, but in actuality, that's not the question here.
Sure, and that means I get a say in how it's spent. How is this guy getting Social Security? I posted his picture from 2007 and I doubt very seriously he's over 25 in that picture.
I'm afraid you're probably in for a big letdown unless you're pretty close to retirement.
But that continues to not be at issue here.Olde-style, states' rights conservative. Ask if this concept confuses you.

Social security is something that we work for. It's not a handout. We earn it.
Disability is for people who really can't work. Should we, as such a good Christian nation punish people and make them feel like shit for not being able to work? Really?
What I keep thinking about this situation is that I don't have to worry about the elderly and the disabled suffering because the Republicans won't let such a tragedy happen to the rich. I'd love to find the politicians who actually care for the common man in this situation. I understand that big companies give us jobs and we can't abuse them, but they don't suffer from the loss of money NEARLY as bad as the elderly and those with disabilities.

Before my family got a phone, my parents were able to get jobs. They were usually hired the day they filled out an application. That usually doesn't happen anymore. You have to have a contact number when you fill out an application.
Also, try getting help when you have no phone sometime. My father once needed an ambulance in the middle of the night and my mother had to scream and beg to be let in to borrow the phone. People were not opening the door at first. Don't tell me phones are not necessary. Not having one can cost you your life in the right circumstances.
Internet is important if you are looking for a job. Nearly every employer, right down to some of these fast food places are requiring an application to be filled out online. The employment office down the street form where I live allows people up to two hours on their computers to fill out applications (which isn't much time when you consider how long it takes to fill out an application, you might be two or three done at the most). Our library allows up to four hours.
A friend of mine from Florida would have to travel almost forty-five minutes from where he lived to get on a computer to fill out applications. Apparently, my area has resources that aren't so readily available in some of the other areas.
So, let me get this straight. People don't need a phone or internet even though one can save your life and the other is practically a requirement to get a job. However, it's a big, huge tragedy if the rich pay more in taxes? Okie dokie. And you wonder why I'm a Democrat. Not really a Democrat. An independent, but I can't bring myself to vote Republican and junk like this is why.

I work too fucking hard to be having my money stolen from me for putting people to death, building more prisons (instead of focusing on rehabilitation), abstinence only education (parents, do your own job), breaking up families because somebody is an illegal, and so forth. You don't hear me bitching and whining about my tax dollars all the time.
Seriously, you all's contempt for the poor disgusts me at times. And I'm not talking about this one DUer. In this thread, I'm talking about the elderly (who worked for their fucking money, so don't you fucking dare say they don't deserve to get back what they put in) and those who can't work.
That felt so good to just let out. (And no, I don't want to hear a lecture from somebody who acts the way I did in this post on a 24/7 basis).
That was awesome.
