One of the Democrats’ most veteran strategists warns that the party is “in decline” and “at considerable risk” when President Barack Obama is no longer on the scene.

“Since Obama was elected President, the Democrats have lost nine governorships, 56 members of the House and two Senate seats,” Doug Sosnik, the political director in Bill Clinton’s White House, writes in a new memo.

Ya they are really in decline when they control half the congress, the WH and is one retired justice away from controlling the USSC, not to mention they have the MSM in their hip pocket.

Yes, theyre in decline... when they dont control it ALL.

Of course they actually DO control it all when RINOs comprise the 'opposition'.

I have heard this for the last 30 years as they continue to gain more and more power and continue to add more socialist programs, I can only begin to imagine what would happen if they were on the rise.
How is obama working out for you?

The fact that Obama, with the worst economic record since Carter, was re-elected, even with Benghazi still fresh in everyone's mind goes to show that the Dems are not in decline. Hell, Elizabeth Warren straight up lied about her heritage and won her Senate seat.

They are in moral and ethical decline----didn't think that they could sink much lower, but they've managed it.

As long as they continue handing out the "goodies" and putting our country further in debt, they're not in decline politically. I guess corruption doesn't matter anymore.

The Dems will still win in '14. Case in point is that all the welfare bums will vote for them again.

I'm not buying it, but they do seem to be heading for a bit of difficult sailing. Midterms of a second-term President are coming up in a sea of constant scandals and agenda failure, with vast sums spent to no noticeable effect beyond skyrocketing stock prices since the money has no place more profitable to go. Internally, they've thrown almost all the obvious successor candidates under the Obus to keep King Hussein's record pristine. If their chosen successor is a political establishment White man or woman, particularly a Boomer or some even-older fart, I don't see the Black voters turning out like they did for a charismatic if totally-unqualified sorta-brutha.

Of course they haven't won with anyone whose parents were actually married since Carter, so God knows what kind of freak show their primaries are going to be.

I don't think as many welfare bums turn out for the mid-terms. Obama seems to pull them with his promises of ponies and rainbows and paying for their free cell phones.

I don't know for the life of me why blacks vote obama/dems, he/they don't do a single thing for them. Their UE numbers are far worse then whites.
