    Broadcast ax: Cancelled shows 2012-13
    May 10

The 2012-13 broadcast season has racked up quite a high body count. In fact, there’s been 16 17 18 cancellations (and counting!) in the last 48 hours as networks prepare for their upfront presentations to advertisers in New York City next week (including six sitcoms on NBC alone).

Here’s a list of shows this season that were either cancelled or were put out to pasture with a “final season order” (the nice version of cancelled):

    Deception (NBC): Cancelled.

    Animal Practice (NBC): Put down.

    Do No Harm (NBC): Harmed.

    30 Rock (NBC): Over.

Guys with Kids (NBC): You can’t believe how cancelled this is.

    The Office (NBC): Closed.

    Smash (NBC): Smushed.

Up All Night (NBC): Christina Applegate quit: This was cancelled … by its own star!

    Whitney (NBC): Thankfully.

    1600 Penn (NBC): Impeached.

    Made in Jersey (CBS): Terminated.

    Private Practice (ABC): Spin-off heaven.

    Partners (CBS): Dumped

Ben & Kate (Fox): & Cancelled.

    Vegas (CBS): Lost.

    Go On (NBC): Get out.

    Fringe (Fox): R.I.P.

    Touch (Fox): Touchable.

    The Job (CBS): What?

The Mob Doctor (Fox): Ha! That title. Yeah. Deceased.

Don’t Trust the B– in Apt. 23 (ABC): Speaking of: Did anyone really believe a comedy with “B—-” in the title was going to last?

    666 Park Avenue (ABC): Hellbound.

    Last Resort (ABC): Indeed.

    Rules of Engagement (CBS): Broken.

    Golden Boy (CBS): Tarnished.

CSI: NY (CBS): Two down, one to go.

Zero Hour (ABC): Zero something all right.

Emily Owens, M.D. (The CW): Crashed.

How to Live with Your Parents (ABC): Evicted.

    Red Widow (ABC): Swatted.

    Body of Proof (ABC): D.O.A.

The New Normal (NBC): Or not.

    Malibu Country (ABC): Overthrown.

Happy Endings (ABC): Until this happened.

    90210 (The CW): Finished.

    Cult (The CW): Unfollowed.

    InsideTV

"1600 Penn (NBC): Impeached." - funny.

Easy to see why so many might be cancelled. I dont think Ive even heard of about 9 out of 10 of them.

I thought they signed CSI:NY to another season?

As for 1600 Penn. It was NBC's way of sucking up to the President. Speaking of which: Does anyone notice that the majority of shows were on NBC? You know what that tells me? It tells me that NO ONE WATCHES NBC .. The only time I watch NBC is when Leno is on. After next spring I won't be watching NBC at all because they are forcing Leno out, again, and reports are that Fox is going to pick him up.

Actor son is set to make Clint Eastwood’s day

HOLLYWOOD legend Clint Eastwood’s illegitimate son Scott is set to follow his father after landing a major television role as a rebel cop in a new police drama for major US network NBC.

Scott Eastwood, 27, who was disowned by his father until he was in his teens, will play tough Chicago officer Jim Barnes who bears an uncanny similarity to renegade cop Dirty Harry, made famous by Eastwood senior in the Seventies.

Studio bosses will introduce Barnes to American viewers on Wednesday in the final episode of the current series of top-rated show Chicago Fire. >>>

He is one of two children fathered by Clint, now 82, and flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves, during their long-running affair in the Eighties while he was living with actress Sondra Locke.

He was only acknowledged by his father in 2002 and his acting potential won him small roles in Clint’s 2006 film Flags Of Our Fathers and 2008 blockbuster Gran Torino.

I'll miss CSI-NY, they should have cancelled the original. It's been worthless since Grissom left.
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

I have a lot of respect and admiration for Gary Sinise. He is a great man.

Red Widow follows Revenge which is a show I didn't think was going to get passed this season. In case you don't watch Revenge, it's a modern take on The Count of Monte Cristo but IMO this season has dragged on and on and was all over the place.

The one surprise is Rules of Engagement. Thought that was doing pretty well.

You thought The Following was bad ass? Um, if you say so. I thought it was horrible.

Ok maybe. But for aimless fun, it was cool ! A serial killer with a hundred serial killer followers, seeded through society! They should of played it better but I watched every show and enjoyed it. You seem to have problems with everything. Go sit in the corner.
