That I also agree with. But things did get better in the 80's for the Penguins...

Actually, the 90's. Once they got Lemieux, Jagr, Recchi, etc, they were nearly unstoppable. Lemieux is probably my favorite player to play on another team. The man had balls the size of grapefruits. Anyone who can come back from Hodgkins disease and lead the league in scoring is a god among men. And, he wasn't petty or a little weasel like Crosby. He, too, fought his own battles which were few and far between because everyone respected him too much to want to fight him. Crosby should take a page out of Lemieux's book. I remember when he was retiring and the Flyers knocked the Pens out of the playoffs in 1997, the Flyers fans gave him a standing ovation and Mario didn't want to leave the ice. You know you're somebody when Philly fans respect you like that.

As for the playoffs are concerned. Neat that the final 4 are the past 4 champions. Sort of a tournament of champions. Personally, don't care who wins but I wouldn't mind seeing Hexy(GM for LA) get another ring.

2 things, #1, I'm not an Eagles fan and #2, which of Jeffry Lurie and Dan Rooney paid homage to Obama after a Super Bowl then was appointed Ambassador to Ireland?

Lemieux and Gretzky aren't playing anymore either. That said, at least Philly can say they had all 4 of their teams in their respective finals in one year but I wouldn't brag about the Steelers recent super bowl wins considering they had the benefit of the officials on their side for both wins. Super Bowl XL was one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen with Seattle getting not 1 but 2 TD's called back on phantom penalties not to mention that to this day Roethlisberger still hasn't crossed the goal line and don't get me started on Super Bowl XLIII. You know, the one where Dan Rooney personally thanked Obama.

It was only game one. They will make it. I liked the scrap that Geno was in.
