LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- So much for the start of summer! At least, that's what people further north in the Lake Placid area must've been thinking.

Whiteface Mountain started reporting 18 inches of snow on Saturday. The total jumped to 34 inches of snow as of Sunday afternoon.

So hey, if you're a bit cold today, it certainly could've been worse! There is no snow in our forecast, but the warm-up is still a little bit away.

Thank God for globular warming or we would be buried too!

Olde-style, states' rights conservative. Ask if this concept confuses you.
