If this were true then it would have been all over every newspaper and on every news broadcast in the country if not the world so you're all wet on this.

Read the part about how Exxon-Mobile got the IRS to audit Greenpeace during the Presidency of a man with connections to the oil business.

Hearsay based on no credible evidence.

Besides...considering when this supposedly happened...your fellow leftist travellers in the MSM would have reported this loud and long.

Same thing with the fairytale you tried to spin with the ACLU.

    Nice try noonie...but you failed.

The report from TIGTA reviews the structure and implementation of IRS enforcement in the 2004 election, finding no political motivation............

The Rev. J. Edwin Bacon Jr. told the congregants at All Saints Episcopal Church on Sunday that the IRS has closed a lengthy investigation into a speech by the church's former rector, Rev. George F. Regas.

In the sermon, Regas did not urge parishioners to support President Bush or Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., but was critical of the Iraq war and Bush's tax cuts.

Federal tax codes prohibit churches and other tax-exempt institutions from endorsing or opposing political candidates

This was news back then, it helps when you don't dance around the issue.

    From the link you posted:

In 2007, the IRS closed the case, decreeing that the church violated rules preventing political intervention, but it did not revoke its nonprofit status.
Both yesterday and today, if churches wish to remain non profit, they need to keep politics out of the sanctuary. If they don't this is what can happen.

The top IRS official announced that he will be taking the 5th. Now we know they knew it was happening, and they did nothing to stop it.
