Obama Campaign co-chair Jesse Jackson, Jr. voted against the bill.
This is bigger than presidential politics. This is a battle for America.

This decision yesterday was engineered by someone thatís running for the White House in 2012:

    Newt did it.
At Coretta Scott King's funeral in early 2006, Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert Kennedy, leaned over to him and whispered, "The torch is being passed to you." "A chill went up my spine," Obama told an aide. (Newsweek)

Half full-Half empty. Either the Republicans voted it down or the DIMS failed to vote for it. Either way it failed and I believe that is a good thing.

Right now all I see is fear. The markets prove that since currently there is no Socialist bill passed yet no meltdown.

The rumor of a bill, not a bill, magically made the DOW ascend. This suggests to me that no Socialist measures are required despite the current Chicken Little economic decisions of the last week.

    Not this bill specifically.
