    Solve if you are genius

    Be careful when answering. Agent Steve is watching.

    Stumped DUmmies....The answer is 12 if the left column of numbers are designating a position in a sequence and you are noting the differences between the numbers in the right column in descending order. If you are using the sequence of multipliers needed to convert the left number to right number the answer would be 9. I'm afeared of math!

    4=12
    3=6

    The right number is the product the two successive digits

    9*8
    8*7
    7*6
    6*5
    .......

    I agree with Retread. The "pattern" seems to be:

    9 = 72 (9x8)
    8 = 56 (8x7)
    7 = 42 (7x6)
    6 = 30 (6x5)
    5 = 20 (5x4)
    4 = 12 (4x3)
    3 = 6 (3x2)
    2 = 2 (2x1)

    ... if you "carry it out". You could arrive at the same answer in a couple of other ways too but this is the simplest to me.

    Ha! Ha!

    Don't give a hoot about your math, nor your spelling Jim. Only thing I care about the most, is whom you vote for in this day and age.

    Oh Mercy, what am I saying? Makes no difference, is not the number of votes that count, it's WHO counts the bloody things!!!

    The DU LIVs will get their comeuppance for their foolishness in the not too distant future ... they will deserve what happens to our country ... we will not, but will go down with them anyway.

    Oops! Pardon my negativity, is getting harder and harder to keep it in these days!

    I feel so betrayed by the GOP establishment that it is more a matter of what I vote against than for. I'll always vote against progressivism. But Palin was the last candidate that fired me up and I voted for her precisely because I saw her as a average person instead of some fossil that's a member of the professional political class like McCain. My vote for Romney was more of a vote against Obama. I wish to hell West would run again for office. I think Cruz has potential. We'll see.
