A TEA Party sponsored “Impeach Obama” demonstration on a major Southern California freeway overpass caused traffic to backup at least ten miles, as the organizer apologized for “any small inconvenience” drivers may have dealt with, as reported by the San Diego-based local news portal the Carlsbad Patch on June 9, 2013.

Flying a number of American flag as well as the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party-adopted Gadsen flag, protesters flashed to motorists on the Interstate 5 southbound lanes in Carlsbad, California placards stating “Remember Benghazi,” “Obama Lies” and “Amnesty Hell No!”

Organizers estimated between 25,000 and 30,000 vehicles would drive under the Tamarack Rd. overpass where the protesters set up shop.

By 12:15, the notoriously slow California freeway traffic had become a slow flowing parking lot from the protest site all the way back to the main gate of the sprawling Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base, ten miles distant.

This would have been great to site there and watch the commie libs of Cal. freak out at this sight.

I don't see this as any better than Occutards blocking the Triborough Bridge (or which ever one it was). There's protesting, and then there's just being an asshole. Blocking traffic so that some poor schlub either can't get to work, can't get home, or can't either carry out his work during the day or go to lunch just pisses people off and does nothing to actually raise awareness for the cause.

It's just a shitty thing to do and does noting to win someone over to your side of the argument.

Leaving that assholery aside for the moment, someone needs to grab these people and shake some sense into them. Impeaching Obama is the worst idea to come down the pike in a long, long time. He's a lame duck, someone seen by the whole world and the overwhelming majority of the country as completely feckless and clearly without any power or authority right now, at best a petty criminal who has clawed his way into the Presidency that they don't even regard with anything other than passing derision. If you impeach him, then he gets a huge boost through sympathy (e.g. Clinton), and the very best possible result from an impeachment is President Biden, or if, through some miracle, one gets Biden removed as well in one fell swoop, we get President Tear Duct, John Boehner. You think the Islamofascists want to attack us now in a position of weakness with President Zero at the helm? Just wait until they see Cryin' John Boehner boo-hooing in the Oval Office.

Sheesh! What an incredibly stupid idea. Hunker down and keep Obama powerless for the next three and a half years. Get actual conservatives in full control of the Senate in '14. Then Zero the Gay Blade can skitter off with his tail between his legs on January 20 of 2017.

I can not stress enough the fact that impeaching Obama would be the worst thing we could ever do.

Let President Clownshoes continue to show us what a complete economic, domestic and international failure he and his policies are. How his shining piece of legislation is nothing but a complete lie that is going to cost the average American a boatload in insurance premiums. How, despite holding 2/3rds of government he has failed to implement any hopey changey forward bullshit he's been selling for years now. How he can be probably the only president in history to have a worst jobs record during a recovery than the previous president that was dealing with a recession. For that matter, what recovery? It's been four plus years now and nothing.

A movement to impeach is a great idea.

    Why?

    BECAUSE... it will never happen.

That is EXACTLY why its a GREAT idea.

What better way to give the finger to the President who gives America the middle finger every day, in every way?

YES! Its not about impeachment, its about ... well, you know ...

It still amazes me how little people understand what Impeachment really means.

All Impeachment means is "Congress" believes the President broke the law.

    That is all.

Does not remove the President, does not sanction the President, really just says the members of Congress believes under the law, the President committed a felony.

After Impeachment congress then proceeds to decide what punishment or action should be taken as a result.

    Could be Removal from office.

Could be barring from serving any other office in the future.

Could be no punishment at all.

Officials and us for that matter need to quit worrying about how we look to liberals and start doing the right thing instead, law, order
    , constitution etc.........

I'm not saying that we should just ignore Obama and let him do whatever the hell he wants. What I am saying is that impeachment is a very bad idea. Like it or not, impeachment is always a political decision. If Zerobama ass-raped and then murdered an eight-year-old boy on national television, it would still be a political decision to impeach him, and there would be a sizable number of people out there who would actually defend his actions in that circumstance.

We have that dolt basically where we want him: he's powerless, he is increasingly just completely distrusted by the American people, and best of all, he's dragging down a boatload of other Democrats with him. Keep him where he is and we can use him like drain plug; impeach him, and regardless of where it goes, he's a rubber ducky floating on top. Even if he's the first President in history who is actually removed from office, he rides high on a wave of righteous sympathy, with two dozen more Leftist extremists sailing that wave as well. Bad, BAD idea.
