It's not that she holds those values, it's that she is sympathetic to those who do, because she agrees with their position on abortion, and therefore rationalizes their monstrous conduct. Lenin's statement about omelets and eggs has become the justification for all manner of hideous actions on the left. Noonie isn't a full on monster, she's just one of the useful idiots who tries to excuse them.

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

Really? I'm not even going to comment on this one because it is that lame.

No but you will have access to commissary meaning you can eat as close to the outside as you might think. Believe me, 24 hours a day and some of these guys turn into jailhouse gourmets.

Then I guess all of those prison gangs are a myth, huh?

Yeah, to every weekend. These guys see their families more now then when they were on the outside. And let's not forget pretty much unlimited phone calls. Oh, keep in mind that they are till getting more visitation time with their families than the decedent.

Now let me include what you didn't:

Inmates get free healthcare. If they become infirm, they get better care in prison than law abiding seniors get in nursing homes. Don't bother trying to contradict this because this is the area in my prison in which I work. They also get prescription medication for $1. They also have access to free education including college. Life imprisonment does not mean their life ends. There have been countless lifers who've gotten law degrees in prison all on our dime. They get television in their cells. Free(after buying the TV). They get free gym memberships. Ever see an inmate who takes his weights seriously? I've come across some pretty big dudes in my day who were pretty blown up. All of this doesn't count the off the books stuff like drugs, sex with women, smuggles cell phones, etc. Believe me, today, prison ain't the prison you see in movies.

NJ, you're absolutely right. We should not be giving prisoners better healthcare than senior citizens. I think the senior citizens should have access to the same type of universal healthcare.

BTW, don't even think I don't notice you acting like the prisoner's healtcare is a good thing when it's socialist healthcare, while probably trying to claim that it's bad healthcare for the free. Is socialist healthcare a bad thing or not? No more treating prisoners better than everybody else. Free healthcare for all!!!!!!!!!! (Yes I said it, I said it. I said it cause I can).

You say inmates can get a prescription for one dollar. It sounds like a good deal. Now, how many hours do they have to work on their job to get that one dollar?

With all those wonderful prison perks (darn, if it's that great, then perhaps I should go), it's still missing one thing.

    FREEDOM

I want to do what I want to do when I want to do it. I'm a grown woman. I don't want anybody telling me what to do. I don't want to see my relatives and friends on weekends only. And I'm a woman, so yes clothing does matter. Nobody wants to wear orange all their life (although I do have a cute orange shirt).

Violence is on the street, but I usually find ways to avoid it. I've found if I don't even look at the people who I know is trouble, they don't bother me. Is it like that in prison too?

I keep thinking that there's something snarky that I keep forgetting to say. Oh well.

I think Noonie just understands that people go too far when they talk about politics sometimes. It's probably why she has more patience for and is way nicer to some people on here than I often am. I still remember somebody threatening my kids on this very board, but nobody thinks it's a big deal. So, if what the poster did wasn't a big deal, then how is that protester's? Personally, I think it's all inexcusable. I was raised evangelist, and they have a more black and white way of thinking that never got out of my system. Not everything they think is wrong.

The point is that while some people view it as a real threat, some people might view it as shooting off at the mouth. Still inexcusable of course. Like I said, I've seen lot of shooting off at the mouth on these boards over the years that was just as inexcusable.
