Anyone here can? If so, I'll start posting some of the canning recipes we've done so far this summer.

I like to do some canning. I do pickles with onions, garlic and jalapenos. I have done salsa and Bloody Mary mix too.

Watermelon pickles are among my favorites. Quick, simple, and I believe in getting the most out of what I buy. Soup bones from New Years standing rib roasts and an Easter ham are others.

Waste not...want not. That's my Ozark heritage.

Good deal. I'll post later tonight our recipes for blueberry jam, strawberry lemonade concentrate, raspberry lemonade concentrate, and dill pickles.

I used to help my grandmother do it, ages ago. Most of the things mentioned here are so high in sugars that they are not in my diet anyway, and I simply don't have the time.

Do you make your potions in small batches every time you need them?
How is obama working out for you?

I make everything fresh if that's your question. We try to do portion control at the supermarket, and rarely have leftovers (unless we've had a party, hosted Thanksgiving, etc).

What about special potions for casting spells, do you get out the cast iron cauldron every time you need one? Wouldn't canning be more convenient in the long run?

That information is shared on a need to know basis and you couldn't possibly have the right clearance level for it.

    Linda ...

Have you noticed the price of eye of newt in the grocery stores lately?

Only joking ... I don't can anything either, nor do I bake cookies. My favorite things to make are hot canapes and fancy desserts for dinner parties.

PS ... re "Coke Floats", I don't like Root Beer, is strange tasting stuff, so always used Coke. What is the overwhelming flavoring in Root Beer anyway, do you know?
