If a member of a racial minority joined your workplace,
would you treat them differently because of their race?

No, I really don't care about anyone's skin color, religion or sexual orientation. I just treat everyone the same. 13 (100%)

Yes, because "colorblindness" is racist. I would bring up the person's race in order to celebrate their culture and lament and sympathize over current and past discrimination their race might have experienced. 0 (0%)

    Slays me.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

My workplace is pretty diverse, probably close to 50/50. It is Detroit.

So how do co-workers treat each other and how to they deal with race if they're not colorblind?

That's skin-deep diversity. How many Republicans/Conservatives are there?

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

It's Detroit. You have to ask?

That's a fair point to make. There are few conservatives in my office, if any. My wackjob former coworker was a conservative in her voting habits, but it would not be fair to you all to refer to her as a conservative in any other sense of the word.

My office is one of many state-wide. I think in Oakland County, or even more likely, Kent or Ottawa Counties, there are more conservatives. It is social work-how many conservatives become social workers to begin with, nonetheless work as a social worker for the government?

Wait, are all Republicans Conservative? Shrugs.

In all honesty, I've always found it to be close to a 50/50 split between Democrats and Republicans from working with similar populations as Noonwitch.
