    NATIONAL STRIKE: August 29

    from my email ...

This is huge – and it couldn't come at a more important time. Thousands of fast food and other low-wage workers are going on, and calling for, a national strike on August 29.

See why, and help us spread the word about the strike right now:

    Workers are on strike!

The more of us who go on strike, the louder our message will be that it's not right for companies making billions of dollars to pay us pennies. The most effective thing you can do right now is help us be LOUD – check out our video and share it far and wide after you have.

We'll be in touch with what's next,

    Nancy Salgado

I say let them strike.....it'll reduce traffic in the Bay Area while the Bay Bridge is closed for switching to the new span.

Are they going to come out of their basements and occupy jobs first?

The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

Another national strike ... Yippy, yippy ,yaa ...

Not one of their stupid " strikes " have added up more then a half dozen pseudo-hippies sitting around some out of the way park.

All they'll do is eat pot-brownies and bitch about how their parents want them to go out and get a job after getting a degree in hungarian folk dancing; with a minor in gay Asian culture.

But they're to busy saving the Earth from the evil Capitalists to get a job.

Never happen. But, a strike by Occupiers would have serious economic consequences. If they didn't collect and spend their welfare, food stamps and other subsidies, the federal deficit could be reduced by billions.

This is true. Do you think that their last round of occupations caused the collapse of Hostess?

The possibility certainly cannot be excluded. Sounds like MBA thesis material - "Hostess: Targeted victim of greed-blind union extortionists, or unintended casualty of Occupooper disaster?"
