(CNN) -- The time is nearing for a potentially definitive U.S. response to alleged Syrian government atrocities and an increasingly violent military crackdown in Egypt, President Barack Obama said in an exclusive interview broadcast Friday on CNN's "New Day."
The U.S. remains "one indispensable nation" in the volatile Middle East and elsewhere, Obama told "New Day" anchor Chris Cuomo.
"We have to think through strategically what's going to be in our long term national interests."
Asked by Cuomo whether the U.S. government is now facing a "more abbreviated time frame" on key decisions in Egypt and Syria, Obama repeatedly gave a one-word response: yes.May the FORCE be with you!

Obama is preparing a major speech on this issue, and it is expected that he will employ every adjective at his disposal. He may even use some verbs. Also, remember that Obama was a visiting professor, so this could go on Syria's permanent record. Assad had better watch out.--Odysseus

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

...Well, at least that won't get any of our good men and women killed in a totally pointless and irredeemable clusterfuck, as long he stops with the adverbs and subjunctive constructions.

It is a very wide red line written with a crayon and could take months even years for them to completely cross.
