Seriously though, can you imagine the shit storm that would happen if the NCAA came down on these kids for receiving things for doing the RIGHT thing??
Doing the right thing in this case was paying for the stuff they left the store with. The violation would be to accept the "shopping spree" part. This is why this is looking a bit suspicious to some. It amounts to cash gifts to the players something that unless is given by family is in violation of NCAA rules. So why not stage this incident and then give them a reward? I mean, the security system unlocked the door? No one sees that as odd?
