You gotta love this although it could be any state...

I was sitting in our office when I hear a BAM!! Power goes out for maybe 10 seconds
and I can all of a sudden see power lines shaking out on the road that runs parallel
    to our development.

About 2 minues later all the sirens and flashing lights!!! Excellent response time for
the cops, EMS, and FPL. What happened???

On a beautiful sunny fall day, 80's, low humidity, roads bone dry, a moron manages to head on with a power pole!!!

I went to take a look and it didn't appear that anyone was hurt. Didn't want to get too close
with the low hanging wires. The fool snapped a power pole with a transformer on it right in half.

May the FORCE be with you!

The person might have swerved to avoid someone that cut him/her off

Then they should have hit our brick wall and not the power!!!!

Power went off again for a little over on hour as they put the new pole and transformer in. Pretty
    good service FPL, well done!

I also tested our generator under real life conditions and it passed nicely.

I have a stop sign in front of my house. No one except me comes to a complete stop there. Even the cops run the stop sign.

This happens in Michigan, too, but then again, where do our old people who are afraid to drive in winter go when they retire?
