Nice try, Elspeth, but it's pretty hard to beat the "LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA" argument with mere facts and patience.

The point was stipulated to. You two argue like children.

Well, when they're dealing with a child they have to talk down to your....err, their level.

Big fail on the "OH YEAH???" response. Also looks like you left your projector running.

So I guess that a child with 3 or more parents, who is just living with one of them can get child support from "all" the parents!!!

That's not a stipulation. That registers doubt.

The police report answers the question: the relationship started when Kaitlyn was already 18; the sexual activity started several months after Kaitlyn's 18th birthday. The other girl was a 14-year old freshman.

Stipulation doesn't mean that I necessarily accept what you present as fact, it simply means that I won't argue it, in this case because it isn't relevant. That was my stipulation, ie that whether she was 17 or 18 appears to make no difference under the law. You seem intent on arguing the point in the apparent belief that it has some tremendous importance to the discussion.

I would add that the age and sometimes physical development gap created in high schools by making them 9-12 rather than 10-12 has long been something I object to. At my local high school there are ninth graders who look like babies compared to some of the 12th graders. I am convinced that the schools have done this "middle school" crap to conceal the rapid shift in demographics in the public schools as well as the abysmal graduation rates. Be that as it may, I am much more concerned about pregnant 14 year olds than I am gay students hooking up with each other.

In the case of Kaitlyn I think that the good possibility that she is a psycho got lost in all your anti-gay motivation.

"Stipulation," unless qualified by additional words such as "Of that being your opinion" or "Of expected testimony," normally means that the item under discussion is accepted as fact for the purposes of further discussion on the point.

In this case, it means "stop counting faeries on the head of a pin and move on" as it usually does in court.
