    SCARY PLACES

Follow the link to the places where they say not to buy real estate. You don't have to exactly be a brain surgeon to figure out that homes in these areas wouldn't exactly be a good investment.

Here's a spoiler. Drum roll, please, most dangerous place in the US is EAST SAINT LOUIS (in Illinois, not Missouri).
My sales manager used to tell me to make appointments with the federal courts in E STL. Good thing that I had tenure, because I always refused and told him to assign the accounts to someone else. A commission wasn't worth risking my life--or my car. Back in the day I drove a BMW (no longer have one). I can't even imagine how fast that would disappear while making that sales call. Oy!

Detroit isn't on the list, although I'm guessing if it was 10 cities, it would be #6 or #7.

Flint is scary-in some ways, scarier than Detroit. Maybe it's scary because it's smaller than Detroit. They tore down Buick City, but it was a huge factory complex that looked really eeire as an empty structure. There's a hospital on the site, now. We have a placement for kids there-it's located near Hurley Hospital, but just north is this mile or so long stretch of slum that nature has taken over in a more thorough way than in Detroit.

I haven't really ever driven through Saginaw, just on I-75 on my way up north. The last time I made the trip (spring of 2012 for Grandpa's funeral), there was actually still a Texan restaurant at one of the Saginaw exits. I used to love their food when I was a kid. Saginaw is the home city of Stevie Wonder.

None of them are in Texas?

(I figure the Texarkana problem is the Arkansas side)

You would have thought Illinois and Michigan would have been in the top 5. Amazing that #2 is Nevada and even more amazing #3 is Alaska. They cite the high rape statistics as contributing to Alaska's #3 status.

    #44-Bridgeton, NJ

This is where I live. 25,000+ residents. Nearly half the residents, according to the latest census, are Hispanic(43.58%). More than likely a large % of those Hispanics are illegal Mexicans. With the 2000 census, only 24.49% of the city demographic was Hispanic meaning in 10 years time the Hispanic population has basically doubled. I find it hard to believe that that many Hispanic babies have been born to that capacity. No, Bridgeton is a sanctuary city who not only allows illegals to set up homes here but the police turn a blind eye when they put bogus plates on their cars. How do I know they're bogus? Because I find it hard to believe that there's been an influx to an obscure city in South Jersey of Mexicans from North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Florida, and Texas. But that said, I don't know how this town ends up ahead of such crime ridden shitholes like Newark or Jersey City(who didn't make the list) and certainly isn't as dangerous as Chicago who for some strange reason is ranked 79th. That said, this list is bogus.
