Today we had the company that installed the new A/C out again to do what
we thought was a routinue Dryer vent cleaning. Usually no big deal. Normally.

Well...the dryer vent is there. It was just venting into to attic. No metal vent!!!
The previous owners had replaced a tile roof with shingles and the moron roofers
forgot to mark the vent hole so they just put shingles over the hole.

Now the roofer is coming out to put in a vent pipe. It just never ends...
May the FORCE be with you!

Did you have a home inspection before you closed on the purchase? I know they often don't catch everything...

You mean your dryer isn't in the garage next to the emergency toilet?

Oh we did but I honestly don't know how any inspection would have caught this. This was probably just a
case of the roofer not cutting on X in the roofing paper and then they guys just put the shingles
over it. It happens, not often, but it does. It'll be fixed Wednesday.

The inspector noted several deficiencies with the breaker box in my recent home sale. Only one of them could be satisfied except.....

When the electrician got into the hing and started looking, the whole d*** thing had to be replaced.

It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.
