Fairfax County has a lot more than government workers. There are large tracts of Section 8 housing and large minority communities.

Yeah there can. This map is a bit of a microcosm of the country as a whole. The closer you live to or in the 'country', the more likely you are to believe in individual initiative and be conservative. The closer you live to or in the 'concrete jungle', the more likely you are to buy the 'rainbows and unicorns' of the left.
