The U.S. Navy enters the 22nd century on Saturday.

In Newport News, Virginia, the Navy will christen its newest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald Ford.

This nuclear-powered ship is the first of a new class of at least 10 carriers that the Navy expects will be steaming the seas, protecting the United States well into the next century.

The Ford itself is projected to stay in service until 2057.

It would stand to be poetic justice if this ship has an issue with clumsily running into things.

Well he was President. And the Navy like to name them after former Presidents.

And he was a Navy Lt. Cdr. in WW II.

And if we don't get rules on this sort of thing, then one day someone will have to serve on the USS Bush II/Obama.

With the current commander and chief that we have I wish they had kept this in development, what difference will it make.
Something to provide back-up for the Muslim Brotherhood somewhere.
