How cold was it?
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

it nipped the persimmons perfectly so I processed a gallon and a half of pure persimmon paste and made two loaves of persimmon bread, most excellent. At one cup per loaf i can make a lot of bread.
I have been pickin 3 gallons at a time and feeding it to the goats and horse, the trees they can get at are inspected by them every day for fallen fruit.
Today I put the horses jacket on him and tomorrow i'll sweep the chimney and start burning wood the rest of the winter.
Winter is truly here with light traces of snow starting to fall and ice on the water tanks, horsey goes around and taps the ice on the surface and keeps them open for the goats, before he moved in i had to go around with an axe and bust the ice, he is a handy critter to have.

The neighbor told me I should ride him into town to save fuel but I don't know where to plug in my laptop without getting kicked.

Glad I got the new studded snow tires. Projected ice followed by snow starting Thursday night through the weekend.
