    CNBC's Jane Wells looks at Promescent, a new drug for men that treats premature ejaculation.

    An over-the-counter, FDA-approved treatment for "PE"—that's premature ejaculation, for those who aren't up to date on their pharmaceutical acronyms—is beginning clinical trials this month at Kaiser in Southern California.
    At the same time, the company behind it has released,
    a very funny commercial starring "Peter a man who always seems to finish everything early.

    Promescent is a spray that uses local anesthetic lidocaine to reduce sensitivity. It's made by a small company with an amazing back story that we first reported on in October.

    Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
    Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
    Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
    21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
    And clever in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20-21 NASB

    So they are slapping a new brand name label on a very old generic drug. Actually I am surprised someone did not think of this sooner. If sensitivity is reduced will this require a side dish of Viagra?
