I name my pets from Shakespeare. Delia is short for Cordelia, and my cat is Miranda. Katie was named for Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. The first dog of my own was Rosie, though, for Rosalita, the song by Bruce Springsteen.
The cousin my grandpa kicked out of the family prior to his death named her children after the characters in the Twighlight stories. I keep telling my colleagues in CPS that this is grounds for intervention, but they laugh at me.
