I am getting to the point where I am replacing some pots and pans and have been thinking about getting a new complete set. I'd like them to be non-stick but there are so many problems with discoloration and flaking of material into food. Any suggestions on good ones?

I've tried several from cheap to expensive and they all have about the same results after a year or so.

I have had the best luck with those that are traditional without coatings for longevity. I still like non stick pans but I think I am hard on them.

I recommend the "Yoshi Pan" as seen on TV!

: “Grow your own dope. Plant a liberal.”
” Obummercare, 20 percent of the time it works everytime.

I look more for the features and the way they are built. I'm not home right now so I can't check. I can't remember the brand I have. They have outlived several others. Of course now I am sure they are not built the same.

I had a friend get a set of Rachel Ray pans for Christmas and she was all excited. I guess they are really nice.

Thanks for checking. I'd like to make a decent purchase.

Good pans are an investment. I still buy cheap non stick pans for omelets and eggs, I simply throw the pan in the trash when it has outlived the usefulness.

Aluminum anodized and layered stainless steel for me, but like Rob I use a Teflon coat pan for egg dishes and just use throw them out or whack Jehovah's witnesses with them when the coating wears through.

Do the non-sticks work better for whacking than the traditional pans?
