    Live in the South??? DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!

(CNN) -- The Deep South will plunge into a deep freeze again this week, this time with ice and snow expected to fall all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.

Of course, it's not just the South that will be shuddering. Midwesterners and others more accustomed to bitter weather will also be freezing. Here's what to expect around the country:

    Georgia
For a city not accustomed to flurries, Atlanta will have a 30 to 40% chance of snow Tuesday.
Farther south in Macon, where about 3 inches of snow could fall, students will get both Tuesday and Wednesday off from school.

Two days off for 3 inches???? I mock thee!!!
May the FORCE be with you!

It's all fizzled out. Business and school all closed and nothing on the ground to blame. Seems the esteemed mayor was the better prognosticator.

I've been in SE Georgia when it snowed, I hate to think what it would be like with Cajuns on the road too. The Gov made the right call. No matter how good your snow driving skills may be, you do NOT want to be on snow and ice with lifelong Southern drivers, and there is no snow removal equipment in the Gulf Coast states as those of us in the central and northern states would understand the word.

The phrase 'Hogs on ice' fits pretty well, no offense Rock.
