That pisses me off since when I got mine 2 years ago I paid $1,700.
And the fact they try to tout the full 1080P aspet but no cable or sat. company broadcasts in full 1080p. 1080i is what they broadcast for HD.
I have heard several rumors that the price of the HD widescreens are going down substantially in the next 60 days or so. It looks like your deal may be one of the first.
I am waiting for the 50 inch Sony to drop below $1500.
I have a 47 inch and a 40 inch Sony and I love them both. We need a third one so we can have one in the family room, one in the computer room and one in the bedroom.
I waspleased a punch to get a wall mount for basicly nothing
Unless you're a videophile, the difference between 1080i and 1080p to the regular HDTV is not really that big of a deal.
I think I'm getting one soon, the TV we have now is a pile of shit, it is not great to watch.
