This is one of my favorite simple dessert recipes.
Brown Sugar Chess Pie
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 unbaked pie shell, homemade makes a big difference
Melt butter; all sugars and beat. Add the remaining ingredients and stir (don't beat.) Pour into pie shell and bake 45 minutes or until set at 325 degrees. If edges are browning, cover with foil. Remove from oven, place on wire rack to cool. Slice and enjoy. Makes 1 large pie.
Here's a pic of one I made last week:
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
