OMG, they just had Goldie Hawn on. I would never have know if they

We watched a little bit of it, which reminded us of why we don't watch it. Lots of libtard stuff, phoniness, but amazed at the end. The winner of the best actor, Matthew McConaughey actually thanked God and repeated the word several times. Hope he's able to find work after mentioning God and not cursing. Gasp.

He played a guy with AIDS, he's got job security in Hollywood for life.
I love Cate Blanchett, and am glad she won an Oscar, but I wish it wasn't for a role in a Woody Allen movie. She should have won years ago for Elizabeth, but was beaten that year by the totally undeserving Gwynneth Paltrow for her role in Shakespeare In Love (a movie I liked, but not because of her). She had a pretty dress, but it wasn't right for her-she's really pale and needs to wear more color.
And what your hubby said about Goldie Hawn-damn, she's scary looking, her face is so messed up from all that surgery, she doesn't even look like the same person she was when she was young.

The only category I care about is Best Animated film. It was good to see a Disney film take it this year even if it wasn't my favorite. My favorite animated film this year was Despicable Me 2 but I did enjoy Frozen as well.Solve a man's problem with violence and help him for a day. Have never been a big Oscar watcher because of too many bad ones in the past, but for the little I saw and the reviews of it by the likes of Michael Medved, it struck me as very apolitical, low-key and, dare I say it, 'classy', as far as contemporary Oscars go.
Hope they make a habit of it.
