San Fran Gay Rights Icon Sentenced To Jail For Child Porn
The gay rights advocate and former member of the San Francisco Human Right Commission who pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography was sentenced Wednesday and will be required to register as a sex offender for life, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Larry Brinkin, 67, agreed to a plea deal in January with prosecutors, who dropped a second charge of distributing child pornography.
Brinkin was sentenced Wednesday to a year’s detention, with six months served in county jail and six months home detention where he will have to wear an ankle monitor, Assistant District Attorney Alex Bastian said. He will also be on five years of supervised probation with a search condition. The search condition allows that his property, including his computers or any electronic device, can be searched during the duration of his probation.
Brinkin was arrested in September 2012 and was linked to images and video that originated in Australia that contained “very disturbing” material, District Attorney George Gascon said at the time.
Brinkin is well-known in San Francisco as being a vocal advocate for gay rights. He was a member of the Human Rights Commission for 22 years before retiring in 2010. In December of that year, the Board of Supervisors declared the first week of the month “Larry Brinkin Week” because of his work on gay rights issues.

Father of Gay Marriage Guilty of Child Porn Will Keep San Fran City Pension
It wasn’t that long ago, that San Francisco was declaring Larry Brinkin Week recognizing his work as the “co—founder of Bay Area Gay Liberation and the Lesbian/Gay Labor Alliance”.
The resolution also mentioned “his ‘key role in laying the foundation for marriage equality for same-sex couples by filing the first lawsuit to challenge an employers denial of domestic-partner benefits thus helping San Francisco to develop the Domestic Partnership Ordinance.”
Brinkin did indeed file the first domestic partnership lawsuit back in 1982 with the help of the ACLU helping put the country on the course to the social trainwreck it’s in now. It also mentioned that Brinkin “is joined in life by his loving Husband Wood Massi and his son Ben.”
And then two years later, Larry Brinkin Week came to an abrupt end when the father of gay marriage was charged with being a monster....

But...but...but...I thought there was no connection between homosexuality and child molesters?

To Achieve Ordered Liberty You Must Have Moral Order As Well
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

Jersey, are you having a bad day or something?
Just because the vast majority of sex offenders/child molesters are male doesn't mean there are no female offenders. Because there are so many less female sex offenders than males, their cases get disproportional coverage by the media. On top of that, if the female is pretty, half the men in the country start making jokes about "where were teachers like that when I was a kid".
I don't support the death penalty, so as far as Susan Smith is concerned, justice is done if she dies in prison. I also think Andrea Yates needs to be locked up in a psych hospital, but she is a schizophrenic who thought she was saving her children from The Tribulation. She and her husband were egged on by a crazy street preacher whom I've had the pleasure of meeting a few times when he was still allowed in Grand Rapids. Michael Warnieke, or however you spell his last name, encouraged them to breed like rabbits, and also encouraged her to go off her medications-he told them that's what Jesus wanted her to do. I think those are mitigating circumstances that should keep her in a psych prison/hospital for the rest of her life, instead of death row or genpop.

Good, except for the part of having to register as a child sex offender. He should never be able to get out of prison to register. In memory of Ahmed Merabet, Rafael Ramos, and Wenjian Liu.
