The only wasted vote is the one that is not cast. If you vote McCain and Obama wins, was your's a wasted vote? Personally, I would like to see some other parties get involved in the races. The two we have now have basically merged into two versions of one.

I almost kept the "wasted vote" line out of the post so that it wouldn't be focused on. Point is, you don't beat Obama by voting for Barr.

I'm still up in the air between McCain and Barr. I'm sure it will be an election day decision. I have a feeling when I see Obama's name on there, it will push me to McCain.

I'm not sure that they're all not wasted votes this year and in the forseeable future, since they all lead to socialism in the long run.

You're definitely right on that JB. I haven't taken the Nobama part out of my sig yet because I really think it's funny. :p

Rebel sums up my feelings too, it's like Glenn Beck was saying yesterday: "Both of these candidates are going to take us to Hell, it's just a matter of how big do you want the handbasket to be?"

And thanks for all the kind words everyone! This is why I love this place, people actually understand the meaning of a Conservative rather then blindly following party lines. :D

I think you did the right thing. Voting on principle is the only way to go, if that means you support the libertarian candidate, then do so.

Also, if the military votes for Barr instead of McCain, it's a surefire way to make sure the votes actually make it into the final tally.

I seem to remember somebody telling Sonnebend to keep his opinions to himself because he wasn't American. Somehow a Liberal telling members on this site that "we're destroying our own party by voting McCain" sounds hypocritical of you.
