So branding them "terrorists" would have prevented this from happening?

I don't know. But the Justice dept, the CIA and the FBI wanted her to. If they are on the terrorist list, the other agencies would have had more authorities to go after them.
Obama isn't the problem. The problem is an electorate that would vote a man like him into office.

In case you missed it the first time.

Sen. James Risch, an Idaho Republican, told The Daily Beast that Clinton missed the opportunity to enable the U.S. government to do more – a possibility that designating Boko Haram as a terror group would have opened up.

'For years, Boko Haram has terrorized Nigeria and Western interests in the region with few consequences,” Risch said.

'The U.S. government should have moved more quickly to list them as a terrorist organization and brought U.S. resources to track and disrupt their activities. The failure to act swiftly has had consequences.'

The online news outlet quoted an unnamed former senior U.S. official taking the suddenly alarmed Clinton to the woodshed even more strongly.

'The one thing she could have done, the one tool she had at her disposal, she didn’t use,' the official reportedly said. 'And nobody can say she wasn’t urged to do it. It’s gross hypocrisy.'
Would have? Maybe. Could have? Definitely.

I heard on the news earlier that immigrants to the US from Nigeria outnumber immigrants from almost every other country. How many Boko Haram sympathizers have been admitted to the US?

Scared but alive: Video purports to show abducted Nigerian girls
    http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/12/world/...bducted-girls/

(CNN) -- The girls sit quietly on the ground, dressed in traditional Islamic garb, barely moving, clearly scared.

"Praise be to Allah, the lord of the world," they chant.

The video, released by French news agency Agence France-Presse, purports to show about 100 of the 276 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram fighters nearly a month ago. It's the first time they've been seen since their abduction April 14.

Those were the ones that converted to Islam. I've heard the ones who refused have been killed.

    Not surprised.

I suspect they were killed in the worse ways possible.
