Especially if they run a candidate who goes to speak at a cock fight and apparently didn't see much wrong with dog fights (but I might have just heard the spin). The tea party needs to do more screening and not get candidates who do stupid things, like the tp candidate whose follower took a pic of the incumbent's wife in a nursing home. The stupid runs strong. (And I had been hoping the Tea Party would do well this time.) They just need to stop shooting themselves in the foot.

Shouldn't an incumbent with the deep pockets that McConnell has get more than 60% of the vote?

I had hoped that he'd be defeated. Shouldn't the Tea Party get better candidates to get the dead wood out of the party? I bet a lot of folks are disappointed, but I hope that Republicans don't sit on their hands again this year. This is the chance to rein Obama in. We have to keep our eyes on the prize---limiting the power of Obama and concentrate in 2016 in dumping the RINO's

There are probably a LOT of libs wringing their hands in glee this morning.
Then will come the finger-pointing... "We have them on the run!".... "The Tea Party is dead!"
    etc, etc....

I am not exactly a lib, but I really think the split in the Republican is pretty obvious. Unless you just dont want to see it.

In a primary, I would think so.

I'm sure there are lessons for the next time around in these results. Especially if McConnell were to lose the general election in Nov, although I highly doubt that is even possible in KY.
