Cool HD video by Jim Jannard who founded Oakley Sunglasses and RED Digital Cinema HD cameras.

I've been a fan of drag racing since I was 10 years old and my dad took me to my first race. I raced in High School (legally at a track, not on the street), and crewed on a local Top Fuel team briefly before going into the USAF. I still attend the races when the circuit is in town and was at this event back in February.

I spent my time on the Okla strips behind the wheel of a dealer sponsored 57 Plymouth Fury factory equipped with dual 4 bbl carbs and a helluva mechanic. The only vehicle in my class who ever had a chance was a 58 Pontiac. We swapped first place finishes and bonded teardowns for about two years.

(but they never tore down our tranny)
