Boehner plans to file suit against Obama over alleged abuse of executive power

House Speaker John Boehner announced Wednesday he plans to file suit against President Obama over his alleged abuse of executive power.

"This is not about impeachment -- it's about him faithfully executing the laws of this country," Boehner said.

The speaker alleged that the president not only has ignored the law but "brags about it," decrying what he described as "arrogance and incompetence."

Boehner had been weighing such a lawsuit in recent days, over concerns that Obama exceeded his constitutional authority with executive actions. Republicans have voiced frustration with Obama's second-term "pen and phone" strategy of pursuing policy changes without Congress -- particularly environmental rules via the Environmental Protection Agency. Republicans also complained about numerous unilateral changes to the implementation of ObamaCare.

How long will he stand there before he dives back into his gopher hole?
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

    Agreed.

Filing suit is just about creating a nuisance, maybe slowing Obama down a little.

The real Constitutional issue of out-of-control executive power requires impeachment hearings and new legislation curtailing it.

He knows Impeachment at this time is Ill-advisedly. Dems would slow it to a crawl and use it as a political tool to rally the left around. And it's dead once it hits the Senate. Waste of effort.

The lawsuit is a show tactic for the elections. To rally the right, as it forces the obama Admin to court to justify their actions going into Nov.

Even the Speaker still has to win re-election in his own district.

Queen Pelosi is now chiming in.

I didnít think he would actually go through with this:

John Boehner is going to use YOUR tax dollars to sue President Obama.

Itís reprehensible. Republicans will resort to anything and everything to paralyze President Obamaís progressive agenda. They shut down the government. They block everything from equal pay to gun violence prevention to job creation. And now this.
Didn't they do the same to President Bush?

He's trying. He tends to push until he thinks he can't get away with anymore. It's called politics.
