Global Warming - Redheads Will Soon Disappear

Global warming is a strange, inexorable force determined to take away our sandy beaches, our ski resorts, our air conditioning and everything good in life. That’s what well-paid people who fly around the world in huge jet airplanes keep threatening.

And, wouldn’t you know it, now scientists are claiming that redheads may be wiped out from Scotland as the northern third of the island of Great Britain becomes sunnier as a result of climate change.

The theory goes that red hair is an evolutionary response among human beings to a lack of sunlight, explains the Daily Record, a Glasgow rag.

Yet redheads continue to be born in the US and in other countries as well.

The gene for red hair is recessive. That's been known since even before the globull cooling days. One day, red heads will be gone (until another instance of genetic mutation occurs).

I miss my red hair. Now it's more of a strawberry blonde color, which is still better than the grey hair my siblings are sporting these days.

I read a book that my mom gave me that claimed that the red hair gene is the one that connects white Europeans to black Africans. If the theory that the first humans lived in Africa is correct, then it kind of makes sense. We had an albino black student at WMU-her natural hair color was red.
