It says one third of Anglican clergy are currently female (higher than I realized), so I don't see how they could have done otherwise.

Well, since the C of E backed openly homosexual male bishops back in 2011, the approval of God-fearing women to bishoprics should not be a big deal. In fact, it's a slap in the face to God-fearing women following the Bible that homosexuals should get approved before they do. These women should think twice before becoming bishops in a church that ignores its own moral laws.

Oh great, now on top of the border crisis, we can expect another Mayflower and a bunch of pilgrims.

But they will be immediately turned away. They might have better success if they tried the southern border.

If they already have women pastors, it makes sense to also allow them to be Bishops. Betty Windsor is technically the head of the Anglican Church anyways, so female authority is already there over the church.
