    Canada to the rescue!
    Morons.

    Morons.

They expect to 'shame' the local/state/fed government into restoring the water, because 'water is a right'!
They are bringing 250 GALLONS of water into Detroit from Windsor.
    Oh, yeah... That will help.

Just my opinion, but they would better serve the 'suffering' people of Detroit by bringing in buckets.
Water as a right? Here is a bucket, and the lake is over there!
Oh, you need it filtered and purified? Talk to the water company. You will have to pay for that service.

    As has been said repeatedly...
It is a service. You use it, you pay for it.
You do not pay your bill, you lose the service.
    Simple.

All those hippies should be up for that.

The bill-payers of the area are sick of this. All of our bills are higher than they need to be because of the people who don't pay.

All the best BBQ restaurants in the area and all the best whiskey companies have food booths and al the best bands in the area play. I'm partial to Slow's BBQ, but there are other good places around.

Detroit needs to upgrade their water system.

My local water company came out last week and lowered my water meter base so they could install a new electronic meter. Now they can read the meter electronically from the home office without needing a meter reader driving around.....they can also shut off my water the same way from the home office. I expect problems with the new system but we'll see.
