They would have gotten the same reaction had they marched on the Upper East Side as well. ;)
Hell, even Staten Island is probably solid Obama Country.
I think McCain/Palin should just stay away from the Northeast from here on out.
Most sane people do.
But we have the best food.;)
On my trip to NYC, Philly, Baltimore and DC last week I wore a John McCain hat. I felt like I was in Indian country the whole time.
Actually, if you measure by median household income, LA is only 45th. Its neighbor, MS, is the poorest. And, JB, you do them a disservice in terms of implying they're dumb down there. Why, as measured by college degrees, LA shoots right up to 43rd in the nation, again besting their progressive neighbor, MS, which is 44th. But LA does rank 2nd in the nation in two statistics, infant mortality and persons living below the poverty level. Must be all those "black beauties."![]()
Obama sure brings out the best in people

Whoa hey now, what's with all the racism allegations of Pennsylvania? I grew up in the southern part of the state about 45 minutes outside Philly and I don't feel it had a race problem. Some of the older generations of folks would maybe use language that young idiots don't feel is "P.C." but we weren't out burning crosses and stuff.
When I visit Philly you always gets reactions like you're from Mars if you're Conservative, Libertarian or even worse a dreaded Republican. Which always confused me, seeing as how it was the birthplace of our nation you'd think people there would be among the most informed, free & educated about Civil Liberties but nope. Not to mention Philly consistently rates in the top cities in the nation on crime and poverty.....yet they've had nothing but democrat mayors since 1952.![]()
