for the first time in a while. Been burned out lately. I get snippy, which makes me fear losing my job or at least a write up. I took some time off (an hour here or there) because they allow *some* flexibility with scheduling. Then, I had the weekend. I feel better. I sure hope it lasts.

In the longrun, I really need to get out of customer service, but I have no clue where to go. Right now, I can't even think of anything that I want to do, just stuff to move me up. lol.

    Just feeling chatty today.

I've been feeling the opposite lately...I hate going to work....lots of stress and a micro-manager boss have really made me dream about quitting and just taking some time off.....I've never been unemployed so I don't know if the stress of not bringing home a pay check will be worse than the stress I have at work.

    Who knows....

I don't want to go to work tomorrow. I just finished my 36 hour weekend shift and I want my 4 days off.

I feel for all of ya - but I can't quite reach ya. My last day of work was 4/31/08
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

I am tired of my 990 mile treadmill.

I am thinking about becoming an independent contractor. I can do 90% of my work telecommuting and am tired of being the pretty boy on the site.

    Anyone else done this?

I have owned 2 businesses so I know what that entails -- this time I am just gong to strike out on my own without the storefront.

I feel for them as well, Retread; I really do ...

But must admit, the first thing that came to mind after reading this thread was this:

It at least has an upbeat rhythm to it!

Well, as a percussionist myself I only have this to offer......

    There's some imaginative trap playing...

And then there is just plain foolishness.

I don't dread coming in to work, and I am fairly interested in what I do, but at the same time I know that it is exactly 2 years, 9 months, and 25 days until I am eligible to retire.

Wife has been working longer hours and doing about twice the work load lately......and enjoying the hell out of it because a whinny coworker has been "sick" and out of work.
