Who is your favorite to have accepted the challenge? This one I like a lot...

It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

Was that a slight dig at Obama for "just writing a check"?

Naw - couldn't be. He just didn't want to mess up his hair.

Our community had one for a little boy with leukemia. His mother needed to take an unpaid LOA from work for his medical treatment, she is a single parent. Our local newspaper said she lost her job, not sure how true that is. They have a habit of misquotes.

This started a few months back.

How can she have lost her job? That's the whole point of FMLA. And this one is pretty good:

The Obama Administration: Deny. Deflect. Blame.

Like I mentioned I am not so sure she actually was fired, unless she needed to take more then 12 weeks off work, then the FMLA protection expires. Or if it was a small company, there is no FMLA, or if she just changed jobs, no FMLA......

For whatever reason it sucks, I just paid her electric bill for the month. I would rather give directly to a family in need then through a middle man. (big charity with a big payroll) I don't even know the family but I have heard nothing but good about her.

Because there are some companies that are willing to roll the dice that they will either scare the person with the thought of a long and expensive court challenge or get a judge hat rules in their favor.

Same thing applies when dealing with the Serviceman's Civil Relief Act. Even though that act is U.S. law...it doesn't protect me 100%.
