A handful of people are mostly responsible for endless attacks on Rush Limbaugh

"The big story – and what we have learned – is that virtually all the negativity around him over the last two years has stemmed from very small number of people in social media. We have found that 70% of the attacks are coming from just 10 people. Ten people around America – and we know who they are – sit at their computers all day sending out tweets, then use computer technology to amplify them,” he added.

Eighty percent “of the attacks come from a different state than where the business exists. It’s really amplified when you look at it that way. A small business in New York is getting letters, Facebook posts and tweets supposedly from customers boycotting their business — when it’s all coming from a person who actually lives in Nevada,” he said.

“It’s the biggest bunch of nonsense I’ve ever come across. We’re definitely going to do a big job of telling the truth,” he added.

In short, Limbaugh’s show appears to have come out of the Fluke ordeal nearly unscathed, and the Clear Channel boss is happy to have him.

This is for the Primitives on the Island as well as those over at the Facebook page for disgruntled current and former DUmmies where they keep believing that there is this massive boycott against Limbaugh and that he's....wait for it...toast.

A boycott from people who don't listen to his show anyway? Um, OK.

Yet on a regular basis they claim that he is, as you say it, "toast".

They HATE it that conservatives also have a voice in the political process.

They think it's not "fair" that they cannot have exactly what they want - abortion on demand - with the government paying for it, guaranteed income - without working for it, gay marriage, 90% taxes on the so called "rich", political opponents in jail or at least silenced, etc.

If only things were "fair" and they got what they wanted then they would be "happy" and the world would resemble "nirvana". Right./s

Libs & Progs have been proclaiming the impending death of Limbaugh's show since 1987. Given his creation of national-level (rather than just regional) talkshows, with many hosts (many of whom he has assisted or advised in their craft), I'd say calling their prognostication a failure would be too kind by a factor greater than 10.

Rush didn't create the local-regional talkshow format, but he was a fairly early practitioner (Rush was on KFBK, a 50KW AM station in Sacramento before going national). OTOH, because news/talk stations have 240 hours a day to fill, Rush has not only made a marketplace for national shows, but has also expanded the marketplace for local-regional shows.

I can't get him where I am, so I reckon I am a default boycotter.

    I'll punish myself later.

Usually the DUmmies are talking about boycotting his advertisers not his show itself. Some of them have to listen to Rush to be able to tell the others what to be outraged about.
