Then quit bashing Bush & Mccain; that might help. If Obama is elected, the shit will hit the fan for the average working Joe and business owner. I will be much better off if Obama's campaign promises take effect; not taxing S.S. or retirement income would provide me with a great windfall.

Logan has it on the money though, he never said it's the right thing to do but politically it is really smart. Think how many people in this country want something for nothing and Obama is playing on that greed.

Also, how has nobody in the media mentioned that Obama's "cut taxes for 95% of families" plan is a bold-faced lie. Currently a little over 37% of American households pay no income tax whatsoever, nothing. Under Obama's plan that number will raise to just over 48% by the end of his 1st term alone. Nearly half the nation will pay nothing in income taxes! Now, who do you think will shoulder the burden that this leaves? You could tax every Billionaire and millionaire in this country 90% of their income, it still wouldn't be enough to pay for everything he's saying he'll do. Government spending is going to INCREASE to cover Barry's tax plan. The "Middle Class" will see a tax increase. So much for caring about the little guy.

I want to know how Obama plans to cut the cost of healthcare when he's talking about increasing taxes on most of the doctors in this country. Most doctors own their own small businesses. If you increase their taxes, they will either lay people off, expect to get paid more or just stop practicing. How will that decrease the cost of health care?

If Joe is the issue, then Obama's answer can be relegated to the back burner until after he's safely elected. If Obama's tax plan is the issue, he might not get there and that $605 million that he's spent on the campaign will be wasted. That's the only economic issue that Obama and the left really care about.
