Total haul for the Obama campaign, eh?

I'm lousy at math (and my cheap calculator doesn't have that many digits), so my question is.....

If Obama wins by a landslide with 60 million votes, how much per vote did he spend?

The amount of money that flows into a presidential election is crazy. This is supposed to be the worst financial climate in recent memory, and yet the cash pours in to both sides. What are people buying with that kind of mullah? Is it necessary, or a waste?

Of far greater concern, that would mean that some outside money is likely involved in stealing our elections. There are only roughly 305 million PEOPLE in the US. That means that, on average, each person in America donated over $2 million to Obama's campaign.

    Something is not right.

I long for the days when our President actually liked our country.

Not accepting public funding: Fucking Brilliant.
At Coretta Scott King's funeral in early 2006, Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert Kennedy, leaned over to him and whispered, "The torch is being passed to you." "A chill went up my spine," Obama told an aide. (Newsweek)

It should read: Not accepting public funding, after you said you would, and correctly anticipating that the lapse in principle would go unnoticed, Fricken Brilliant!

I still get a chuckle over how the party of small government accepted public funds while the party of socialism didn't.

This thread really demonstrates the effectiveness of government run education.

Since public funding comes from the voluntary consent of citizens who check a box on their income tax returns, it doesn't have all the necessary attributes of the typical big government program you're making it out to be.
