Looks like Moutha's in trouble!

I guess calling voters in your district "racists" has its drawbacks.
When Dinkins was running for reelection in NYC, Bill Clinton complained that there were people who had a problem voting for someone who was "different" and that this was the cause of his poor approval ratings and low poll numbers (as opposed to skyrocketing crime rates, taxes and welfare rolls and collapsing economic numbers and quality of life weren't a factor). In fact, Dinkins would never have been elected in the first place if major blocs of white voters hadn't supported him, but by accusing New Yorkers of being closet racists, he actually forced the issue out into the open and ended up costing him even more votes. Liberals who had voted for him the first time got their backs up and voted against him the second. Murtha may have just cost Obama Pennsylvania, and if so, then he may lose his own seat in the bargain. That's a win-win.
Murtha makes press announcement to discuss weakening polls. "Well, it's not that voter's in Western Pa are racists, no they're Rednecks, um, uh what I mean to say is that they're just a little ignorant"
C'mon Murtha grab a mike. We know you got some more good ones in ya. :D
The capital police will have to widen Lard Ass's door in order to get him out.
Update: linkBreaking: New poll shows Russell over Murtha, 48-35

A Pennsylvania source has just leaked me brand spanking new poll data showing GOP upstart Bill Russell leading John Murtha among over 800 probable voters by 48-35.
